Simmonds on IoM for Sports Awards
The guest of honour for tonight's Isle of Man Sports Awards has praised the facilities we have here.
Ellie Simmonds OBE has ten world championship titles and five Paralympic gold medals.
The first two of those golds were won at Beijing 2008 when she was just 13 years old.
Speaking to Manx Radio at the National Sports Centre in Douglas, Ellie had spent part of this morning training with some of the Island's best young swimmers at the Western Swimming Pool in Peel:
Rugby: Bevan Rodd on bench for England's opening Six Nations match
MGP 26: A new Quayle set for the start line
Football: Douglas Royal face Peel in Floodlit Cup Final clash
Hockey: Three wins for Island sides in England Championships
