Defending champion Andrew Pitt narrowly missed out on a win in the opening round of the Supersport World Championship at Phillip Island, Australia, at the weekend.
The Peel resident was beaten into second place by his HANNspree Ten Kate Honda teammate Kenan Sofuoglu by just 0.06 seconds.
Stiggy Racing Honda's Anthony West was third, only 0.093 seconds behind Pitt.
