Plater Admits T.T. highly unlikely

Injured H.M. Plant Honda rider Steve Plater has admitted it is "highly unlikely" he will be fit in time to compete at T.T. 2010.

The Senior Champion broke two bones in his left forearm in an horrific crash in practice for the North West 200 on Thursday afternoon.

In the latest press release from the team, he is quoted as saying "I just want to focus on making sure my arm has the chance to completely recover, but I’m also determined to be back on my Honda Fireblade as soon as possible to be able to try and protect my current lead in the British Superstock Championship. Me being able to compete at the TT is highly unlikely and I’m also gutted about that too, but at the moment I’ll take each day as it comes...."

Plater underwent an operation to have the bones plated and pinned on Friday afternoon.
