Around 20 roadside election signs have been uprooted and placed on Hango Hill.
The monument, the scene of nationalist commemorations on January 2 each year, has been festooned in posters, some of which come from constituencies well away from Castletown and the south of the Island.
Police in the Isle of Man have been warning that moving or defacing election posters and placards is a criminal offence, and any such incidents will be investigated.
