Pool pro Addinall up for Player of the Year poll

8-Ball player is ranked 34th in the world

A campaign has been started amongst local cuesports players, to try and see Manx professional 8-Ball Pool player David Addinall voted the 2018 IPA player of the year.

By his own admission, the 36-year-old has surpassed all expectations in his first full season on the professional circuit, defeating several past world champions and the 2018 world champion on his way to reaching a ranking of 34th in the world.

Highlights included reaching the last 16 of the 2019 World Championships last month as well as several quarter final appearances - but most importantly, his results have comfortably secured him a spot for his second season on the tour.

Voting for 2018 player of the year is now open, and closes on 27 March, with other Manx players taking to social media to garner support for Addinall in the vote.
