21 honours secured in South Africa going into final day
The Manx Powerlifting team has now matched its record Commonwealth Powerlifting Championships medal haul during the 2024 event in South Africa this week.
The latest day of competition in Sun City yesterday (9 October) saw Lisa Grant get another medal on the board with silver in the M1 76kg class to take the team's total to 21 medals so far this year.
That equals their 21-medal tally at the squad's first ever Commonwealth event in New Zealand back in 2022.
What's more, the Isle of Man team has the chance to surpass their tournament best on their final day of lifting today with both Alyson Egan and Kerry Kelly in action.
In total, eleven Manx Powerlifting athletes are involved in this week's meeting.
