Ramsey face Mossley Hill at the Mooragh

Leaders face tough test on home soil

Early league leaders Ramsey will face a stern test on Saturday when Mossley Hill visit the Mooragh in Lancs/Cheshire Div Three.

Hill were something of a bogey team for Ramsey last season, playing each other three times with Ramsey losing all three.

So far this season Mossley Hill have lost away at Parkonians but last time out they thrashed early strugglers Prenton running in eight tries with skipper and playmaker David Guest banking a try, four conversions and a penalty from number eight.

Ramsey have played one more game than most, hence their lofty league position.

Liverpool University were the visitors last Saturday and while Ramsey ground out a win, the fitness of the University team meant it was difficult to pick off the gaps in the closing stages.

There will however be some changes to the Ramsey squad with Josh Corteen and Abuu Migoda absent as they head back to their studies.

However, Matty Meechan who was on the bench last week, is expected to return.

Also back in the fray is second row Anthony Fergusson and his physicality will be a welcome boost to the team.

Wingman Neil Long has been sitting out under the concussion protocols and he may be ready and worth a shout too could be youngster Sam Brown who has had two solid games for the seconds.
