First meeting between the sides
FC Isle of Man are set to take on Atherton Laburnum Rovers away from home in the North West Counties Football League tonight (28 January).
It is the first time the two sides have met since the Manchester side were promoted into the division.
The Ravens sit 19th in the table and 14 points above the 'drop zone' thanks to a Ste Whitley double against South Liverpool last weekend (24 January).
Whitley produced a stunning winner in the 85th minute as Rick Holden's men won their fourth game at The Bowl this season.
A win for FC Isle of Man could see them move up to 17th in the league table.
For Atherton meanwhile, they are currently 9th and three points would put them in touching distance of Chadderton in 8th.
Although its been a mixed campaign for the Laburnums with 15 wins, 11 defeats and two draws, recent times have seen them take five victories in their last seven outings.
You have to look all the way back to November to find the last time Dave Jones' team last tasted defeat as they were beaten 1-0 by Abbey Hey.
However, they have had four postponements/abandonments in that time, including this tie against FC Isle of Man on 9 December 2025.
Atherton vs FC Isle of Man will kick off at Crilly Park at 7:45pm.
