Foxdale slip to fifth

The race for promotion from JCK Division Two took a further twist on Saturday.

That’s after Douglas Royal saw off Foxdale in the match of the day.

Goals from Stuart Foley, Craig Dolman, Paul Whitley and Simon Dooley sealed a 4-2 success as Royal stay second.

Foxdale, for whom Aaron Costain and Kevin Pulman replied, slip to fifth.

Castletown remain in front after a 7-1 home success over Governor’s Athletic.

A Dan McLaughlin hat-trick led the way for Town and he was joined on the scoresheet by Nathan Cooil (two), Jamie Cadwallader and Joel Callow.

Peter Callow scored the consolation for the visitors.

Connor Dempsey, Mark O’Neill, Andy Glover and Jamie Spicer scored the goals as Braddan saw off Pulrose 4-1 to stay third.

Emmanuel Kaneen notched the Pully consolation.

Onchan are up to fourth after a 4-0 success over Douglas and District – Jack Powell, Josh Brockbank (two) and Craig Marsh the scorers.

Gymns hit bottom club Michael for six.

Bobby Thorne and Stuart Morris (two) were the marksmen.

Jason Craine and Dylan Parrish replied for Youth Centre but they couldn’t quite earn a point.
