SPORT: Success for younger age groups in Eng Hockey Championships 

3 wins out for 4 matches for Manx sides

The U16 and U14 girls and boys Island hockey squads are back after a successful weekend competing in the England Hockey Championships.

The Isle of Man came out with 3 wins out of 4.

Starting with the U16s Girls, they won their game against Chester 2-0 with goals from Sofia Cosgrove and Penny Webster.

The U16s Boys took a resounding win against Timperley 10-2 with 2 goals-a-piece for Joe Savage, Leonard Plass, Doug Quayle, one for Ethan Adams and a hat-trick from Cameron Roome. 

In the U14s, the girls came out victorious against St Anne's with a dominating 13-1 win. 

Isla Caine put 4 goals on the board, there was a hat-trick for Sophie Partington, Summer Craig bagged 2, and Caitlin Williams, Faith Watterson, Sienna Millward, and Ela Blakemore all scored 1 each.

In the boys camp, the U14s lost out in their battle against Oxton, 2-9 with Cillian Dowling-Sharkey scoring both goals for the Manx side.
