Beach Buddies in lighthouse bid

A local conservation group has registered an interest in a piece of property which has caused quite a stir since it went on the market.

The 'Winkie' light at the Point of Ayre is being sold for £10,000, through a local estate agent.

Bill Dale of Beach Buddoes says it would be an ideal northern base for the organisation, on a beach where litter is constantly a major problem.

He's looking  for a local individual or company to help with the purchase - you can email beachbuddies@manx.net or call Bill on 496560 for more information.

Bill says the Beach Buddies centre in the west of the of the Island has been a real help, and this could be something similar.
