Education minister describes relationship as 'turbulent'

"Work with us."

That's the message from a teachers' union, after a report highlighted a 'fractured' relationship between the education department and Manx schools.

An independent review was published on Wednesday (23 September), authored by management consultant Beamans, at the request of the chief minister.

Rob Kelsall, of the National Association of Head Teachers, says it proves what they've been saying all along.

Education Minister Dr Alex Allinson only came into post after that report was commissioned.

But, he says he has seen evidence of the turbulent relationship.
