Vote delayed after Tynwald decision

Local authority elections will be postponed, yet again after Tynwald voted to support the move.

They were due to take place on 22 April, but will now been pushed back until 22 July.

The Infrastructure Minister is Tim Baker:

The Department of Infrastructure called for the change as elections would conflict with efforts to suppress the coronavirus.

It's the second delay to the democratic process, which was originally scheduled to be held in April last year.
