MHK exasperated with failure of leadership

Douglas East MHK Chris Robertshaw is again calling for a fundamental redesign of the civil service.

It's after an open letter from the States of Guernsey Chief Executive outlined details to overhaul their civil service with the aim of breaking down barriers and silos that exist in the current structure.

Chris Robertshaw has been a long-time advocate of this approach.

He says he's "exasperated" that we came up with the idea but have adopted a "bumbling approach" while Jersey and now Guernsey have implemented the proposal.

He says that's down to a failure of leadership from the Chief Minister and the Council of Ministers:-
