Health minister says hospital pressures 'higher than average'

Pressures on Noble's Hospital are 'higher than average' according to the health minister.

David Ashford was speaking at a media conference on Thursday afternoon (26 November).

As a result he says they're putting a temporary halt on 'non-urgent elective orthopaedic operations' from Friday onwards (27 November).

It's currently unclear how long the suspension of these operations will last.

Mr Ashford says this is to open up more bed capacity:
