Inquest into death of Mark Purslow opened

A TT racer from Wales died from head and neck injuries following an incident in a practice session at this year’s event.

Twenty-nine-year-old Mark Purslow, from Ceredigion, was killed at Ballagarey Corner on the Mountain Course on 1 June.

It happened on his third lap of the session.

The inquest into his death was opened and adjourned at Douglas Courthouse on Friday (17 June).

Coroner of Inquests Jayne Hughes offered her condolences to Mr Purslow's family and released his body so the family can now make funeral arrangements.
