On the programme today:
- Beth proved she's Manx (kind of...) by completing Clarkee's Moghrey Jedoonee accent challenge, getting an impressive 6 out of 10 for effort from resident Manx speakers Dollin and Ewan and not actually offending anyone
- we had our first encounter with new monthly contributor "Agony Al" who - rather interestingly - had a letter from someone called 'Liz' who was concerned about offending people by trying to speak in a Manx accent...
- Howard Caine told us all about the most popular jazz album of all time, Miles Davis' 'Kind of Blue'
- Christy was allowed to choose most of the music because it's her birthday weekend; so she kicked off with today's Soul Starter Staples Singers 'I'll Take You There' as well as Run DMC's Walk This Way and Dolly Parton's 9 to 5 (bit of a mix, then!)
- we had our final Easter TakeOver Track, with 11 yr old Dylan Joseph choosing Queen and David Bowie's 'Under Pressure'
- and the Jukebox winner was the Retro song, 'I Knew You Were Waiting For Me' by George Michael and Aretha Franklin which went to No. 1 in the US charts on this day in 1987.
If you missed any part of today's programme you can listen back for the next 7 days at this link.
Have a lovely Easter weekend, we'll be back with you on Tuesday, live from The Cook Shack with Georgie Revill. See you then!
