Late Lunch listen again: Mindfulness, Paracise and a retro TV theme

Christy D is taking a well-earned break for a few days so luckily Beth has found the perfect companion to help.  Hawking the Penguin* from the Manx Workshop for the Disabled.  They are our Charity of the Week and Hawking is spending time with us to celebrate, and he's taken over Christy's desk.

You can find out about the Workshop via their website or Facebook, and we will be hearing more about them tomorrow on the show from Sean Connick.

On today's show, Mike Kewley from My Free Mind joined us for our usual Midweek Mindfulness slot.  We talked about  the idea of 'Taking a mindful S.E.A.T' - a great practice you can use with children to help them manage their motions.  You can download the related podcast here.

Donna from Paracise joined us once again to reflect on almost a year of classes on the island. She read out some wonderful reviews from people who go to Paracise because, for whatever reason, traditional exercises classes aren't suitable for them.  She's hosting a party week to celebrate her first anniversary in September, to find out more check out her Facebook page.

The Juke Box was an Oasis battle today - 22 years since they released their fastest selling album.  It was a choice between Wonderwall and Roll with It (neither of those from the fastest selling album incidentally)  The latter only just won out with Mike's casting vote...

And we played the retro theme tune quiz again, with lots of people correctly guessing that it was Grange Hill!

Listen back to show here, and we'll be back on air tomorrow just after 2pm.

*Oh and Howard helped a bit too.
