THE ISLAND SPIRITUALITY NETWORK
MEETS AGAIN ON
SATURDAY 9 MARCH
IN
ST JOHN’S MILL
from 10am - 1pm
We look forward to welcoming our guest speaker, Reverend David Gordon (former Pastor of Broadway Baptist Church in Douglas) His chosen subject is
IN THE STEPS OF VINCENT VAN GOGH
He will be reflecting with us on the life and spirituality of the great artist. David has had an interest Van Gogh for a long time and during his sabbatical last year, he spent some weeks tracing the artist’s life and visiting places with which he was associated.
David, originally from Bangor in Northern Ireland, spent seventeen years as pastor of Broadway Baptist Church in Douglas and, under his leadership, the church saw considerable growth. He also served as a Chaplain for the Isle of Man Prison. For some years David has served as Minister and Team Leader at Kirkintilloch Baptist Church north of Glasgow and is former National Mission Advisor for the Baptist Union of Scotland. He comes with a wealth of experience and a breadth of spirituality. We are very much looking forward to catching up with David once more and to hearing what God has been revealing in the company of Vincent!
There is no set charge for ISN meetings though a suggested voluntary donation of £10 helps to defray our expenses. However, no one is EVER asked for money (we just provide a basket at the back of the room, for anyone to place a donation if they wish) so please DO NOT stay away for financial reasons. What better way to spend a Saturday morning than to gather together, sharing, reflecting and learning from one another. We look forward to seeing you on Saturday 9 March and to renewing fellowship and friendship
