ON PRAISE TODAY - 25 AUGUST 2019

Nowadays, it takes a brave person to walk into a church building on their own, or to start a conversation about God with a Christian.  So, MICHAEL HARVEY thinks it’s vital that we build a culture of invitation, alongside a culture of welcome and of transformation.

On PRAISE today,

he explains how - and why - to do it.

And we’ve been delving into the PRAISE archive and found a talk given by Rabbi Lionel Blue, 21 years ago, when he attended a St John Ambulance celebration in St George’s Church, Douglas

NOTE!

We’ve only time to include part of Rabbi Blue’s talk in PRAISE today BUT you can find  the whole of his talk on today’s PRAISE Podcast - available via www.manxradio.com

and on the home page click PODCASTS

Michael Harvey’s website is

www.cultureofinvitation.com

and his two books (available via the website) are

Creating a Culture of Invitation

in Your Church

and

Unlocking The Growth

Music on PRAISE today is :

Christ whose glory fills the skies

(Charles Wesley) - The St Michael Singers

and

The Lord Is Present Here

Written and sung by

Graham Kendrick
