Conister Rock listen again: Conor Cummins

Beth and Christy were back on the Conister Rock this afternoon, spending an hour sharing music and memories with one of our best loved Island personalities.

The Isle of Man always takes pride in its people – especially people who help raise our profile and put us on the map. It’s fair to say today’s Conister Rocks guest has done just that....

Conor Cummins is one of the fastest men on the mountain, growing up in Ramsey – giving him that nickname ‘Ramsey Rocket’ - with a Dad as a racer too, but he’s much more than just the bikes;  with his CoffeeMan business and new venture ConRod’s coffee shop and in the past few months, he’s also become a Dad to little Connie.

Conor is also a huge music fan - has even played bass in a band on the Isle of Man in his time - and shared a whole scutch of fantastic pieces of music, ranging from Pearl Jam to Gerry Jafferty, Johnny Cash to Elbow.

He shared plenty of magic moments in his life so far, from the birth of his daughter prematurely, to his favourite podium, to watching a chap walk past him in Australia wearing one of his race TShirts, it was an enlightening and fascinating hour.

If you missed any part of the programme you can listen again at this link for the next 7 days.
