Monique Roffey will talk about her latest book and how to come together in protest and action.
Monique is an award-winning writer, environmental activist and Professor of Contemporary Fiction at Manchester Metropolitan University. She was a founding member of Writers Rebel and she is part of the Hard Art Collective and an Ambassador for Just Stop Oil.
Her novel The Mermaid of Black Conch won the 2020 Costa Book of the Year award, Archipelago won the OCM Bocas Prize for Caribbean Literature in 2013 and the White Woman on the Green Bicycle was shortlisted for the Orange Prize, 2010.
Monique will be in conversation with Manx environmentalist and writer Fiona Gell.
