
Island brewery Heron and Brearley has appointed an industry high-flier to boost business in the UK.
Jonathan Thomas joins H&B as national account director for Okell's.
Mr Thomas was a senior executive for 19 years in the UK arm of one of the world's largest brewers MolsonCoors, which has a portfolio of 65 brands.
He's also been regional operations director for Punch Taverns accountable for 550 outlets and an large investment programme, and for three years ran a free house in Wales.
Mr Thomas will promote the Okell's brand in the UK where he says craft and seasonal beers are gaining popularity.
Welcoming the appointment, Group Managing Director Ian Lennox said " we are taking the UK market extremely seriously; increasing our foothold there is central to our long terms strategy for the business." He said "Jon's experience ... will help underpin brand awareness of Okell's in the UK".
