Ramsey's new Post Office has had a VIP opening this morning (Monday).
The office has moved into the government-owned Courthouse building on Parliament Street, a short distance from its old home in private premises.
Local MHKs Anne Craine and Allan Bell were at the opening, along with Home Affairs Mnister Adrian Earnshaw and chairman of the Post Office Alan Crowe.
A replica of Ellan Vannin, created for the 100th anniversary of the tragic loss of the vessel in 2009, has gone on display inside the Post Office, surrounded by pictures of Old Ramsey.
The town's police station has moved upstairs for the time being, before moving to a new site.
