Company launches 'fast and consistent' service
Sure has launched an unlimited 4G broadband service in the Isle of Man with speeds which it claims will rival home broadband services.
A recent UK survey placed the Island broadband services at 50th in the world and the telecoms provider says the speed of its new 4G broadband would move the Island into the top three in the global rankings.
Sure chief executive Mike Phillips believes that the product offers choice to Isle of Man consumers.
‘A fast and reliable internet connection is an expectation of modern life. Our 4G+ broadband service, which uses Sure’s state-of-the-art mobile network, gives customers access to a fast and consistent internet connection at home, something many Isle of Man residents struggle with because of the island’s existing, ageing broadband infrastructure.
‘If all Isle of Man residents used the 40Mbps 4G broadband service, the island would be ranked third in the world in the cable.co.uk rankings, which is a huge improvement.’
