Consultation deemed 'one-sided'
The final draft of a bill proposing reforms to the Island’s abortion laws will be presented to the House of Keys in January.
Ramsey MHK Dr Alex Allinson is pushing for change and has spent 11 months working on measures.
It’s been heavily supported by the findings of a recent consultation which proposes allowing women a termination up to 14 weeks into their pregnancy.
The consultation has been deemed ‘one-sided’ by anti-abortion campaigners and ‘ignoring the humanity of the unborn child’.
