All Douglas Council public buildings to close

Local authority aiming to curb coronavirus spread

Douglas Council is closing all of its buildings open to the public, as part of efforts to stop the spread of coronavirus.

The authority has made the announcement as part of the latest measures to tackle Covid-19, as there are now 20 confirmed cases on the Island.

Although kerbside collections are suspended, domestic household refuse collections are currently operating as normally as possible.

Noble’s Park remains open for exercise and dog walking, however the two-metre social distancing is being enforced in all areas.
