
Plans for a Manx Credit Union will be unveiled at a Positive Action Group meeting on Monday.
The Manx Credit Union Working Party will present on the benefits of a community finance model, and explain how it differs from highstreet banking.
They will be joined by Dawn Vear - Operations Manager of UK Credit Unions Ltd.
Savers in a Credit Union automatically become "shareholders" of the organisation, and David Talbot, chairman of the working party, says this increases its community focus: (play audio)
The meeting begins at 7.30pm at the Manx Legion Club, Market Hill in Douglas.
