Cyclist's joy at representing Isle of Man on international stage

Becky Storrie has overcome challenges to reach a career goal

"It's something I never thought would happen."

That was Becky Storrie's response to finding out she'd been selected to represent the Isle of Man at the 2022 Commonwealth Games.

Becky's sporting career began as a triathlete - but her progress was put on hold in 2018 when she was diagnosed with chronic fatigue:

Then, as Becky recovered in early 2019, she made the move from triathlon to cycling.

In 2019, Becky was called up to represent the Isle of Man at the Island Games in Gibraltar where she won a gold medal in the women's time trial:

Since then, Becky's been awarded a first class degree in psychology and sport science.

She's now a professional cyclist riding for the CAMS-Basso team and will be representing the Isle of Man at the 2022 Commonwealth Games.

Becky says representing the Isle of Man at this level is something she's wanted to do for a long time:

The 2022 Commonwealth Games are being held in Birmingham from 28 July - 8 August.
