While the number of daily air traffic control closures at the Isle of Man Airport has been reduced to one, the infrastructure minister says some flights may still be impacted.
Introduced in 2023 due to a shortage of qualified ATCs, the closures allowed for rest breaks in accordance with regulatory requirements.
It's since been established that with 15 members a 'significant number of these closures will no longer be necessary'.
But Minister Michelle Haywood says delayed flights may be affected:
Elsewhere, new security machines are to being installed to comply with UK Department for Transport (DfT) regulations.
Upgrade on the first machine is underway, before work is paused during the peak TT period to minimise disruption.
The second machine upgrade will then occur after the TT period concludes.
Passengers are being warned of longer queues as only one security machine will be operational at a time.
