Island should move with the times
People opposing proposals to shorten the horse tramway "have to get real" and move into the modern age - according to the leader of Douglas Council.
David Christian says infrastructure plans to operate the trams between Broadway and Summer Hill make sense - and on a personal level, he's supportive of them.
Tynwald approved the retention of the full route in July, but there was division in the court when the new proposals were put forward this month.
A combined vote on how to proceed will take place in January.
