'Unknown men' trying to get into properties
Douglas Borough Council has issued a warning to its housing tenants about men trying to gain access to their properties.
It says it's been told by some residents that unknown men are arriving at homes and asking to view their kitchens.
The council says anyone visiting your home on its behalf will have photographic ID, which you are entitled to ask to see before letting them in.
It's also asking you to notify any of your neighbours who may not have access to Facebook.
The Housing Office team has notified the police of the reports it has received.
If you have any concerns about this you can contact the Housing Office on 696435 or police headquarters on 631212.
