England lockdown and Dr Glover exit to feature in Keys

Emergency questions tabled ahead of weekly sitting

England's lockdown, the departure of one of the top scientists involved in the Island's Covid testing programme and gas regulation will all be discussed in the House of Keys this morning.

Two emergency questions have been tabled ahead of the sitting - one from Onchan MHK Rob Callister asking for the Council of Minister's views as England prepares to enter lockdown.

Chief Minister Howard Quayle will also be asked by Onchan MHK Julie Edge to make a statement on the resignation of Dr Rachel Glover.

Ms Edge also has a scheduled question on the Beamans Report, while Douglas Central MHK Chris Thomas asks about the gas agreement.

Ramsey member Lawrie Hooper is seeking an update on private provision at Noble's Hospital, and Home Affairs Minister Graham Cregeen will be asked for more details about plans for a combined emergency services hub in Douglas.

The sitting gets underway at 10am. You can following coverage on Manx Radio's AM1368 frequency, online, on smartphone app or smartspeaker.
