Manx Care contingency planning for industrial action
Manx Care says it’s expecting a final decision on whether doctors will take industrial action this week to be made today (20 January).
Medical professionals are due to walk out for 48-hours, in a row over pay, from Wednesday.

However, it’s understood negotiations between the health body and the British Medical Assocation have been continuing.
Manx Care has already warned that planned doctor-led appointments will be cancelled.
Patients who are due to be seen on Wednesday and Thursday have been told they’ll be contacted no later than 3pm tomorrow (21 January) if their appointment is at risk.
