Ten year CofE ban for errant priest
The Island's former Bishop, has described the 10 year exclusion order from serving the Church of England, passed on Dr Jules Gomes, as "about right".
A Church disciplinary tribunal found Dr Gomes' behaviour to be innapropriate, in a judgement delivered in the autumn.
He fell out with Manx church authorities while vicar of Castletown.
Dr Gomes holds that he doesn't come under the jurisdiction of the Church of England.
It's likely to be a year before the Island has a new Bishop, but Robert Paterson says that shouldn't be a problem for the Church in Mann:
Reopening of Martin Ward delayed following further safety checks
Major reservoir projects completed on time and on budget
Law Society responds to 'anecdotal' reports of conveyancing log-jam
