UK decision could see route resurrected
Flights between the Isle of Man and Heathrow have moved a step closer – as the UK government considers possible expansion of the London airport.
This morning, an independent commission recommended Heathrow be expanded instead of Gatwick.
It’s good news for EasyJet, which says if the plans – that have to be approved by Westminster – go ahead, it’ll operate flights to Ronaldsway.
After this morning’s announcement, the company’s chief executive Carolyn McCall said a new base at Heathrow would provide new services to Inverness, the Isle of Man and Jersey.
