Icy conditions on roads again

Some bus routes still affected

Police are warning motorists of icy roads this morning.

The south of Island is said to be particularly bad with Duck Street, Ballabeg to Cross Four Ways and Malew Road/Church Bends very slippery.

Some bus routes are also still affected with no service to Ballachrink, Ballabrooie and Lakeside.

With regard to School services, route 37 is running as normal but Route 42 will start on Harbour Road and not serve Eskdale Road or Ballachrink.

Officers say there have been reports of traffic queues in Onchan this morning, with more cars than usual using the route due to the Mountain Road still being closed and cars moving more slowly due to the conditions. Backlogs are happening at the traffic lights and police say they will mention the timing of the lights to the Department of Infrastructure.
