The Health and Safety Inspectorate has launched a full investigation after a Peel man was killed while working in the town yesterday (Monday).
The man, in his 50s, was working for the Water and Sewerage Authority at the bottom of Walpole Road when a wall collapsed.
Police say it may have been caused by excavation work taking place in the area.
The man’s name will not officially be released until his next of kin have been informed.
