Island visitor numbers 'could recover by 2023'

Visit IoM prediction following border easing

Visitor numbers could return to pre-covid levels by 2023.

That's the belief of Visit Isle of Man after border restrictions relaxed to allow fully-vaccinated non-residents to travel without having to self-isolate or test.

In 2019 approximately 308,000 people holidayed here.

Angela Byrne is the head of the government agency and says bookings now, and for 2022, are looking positive.

However, she says they have to be realistic when looking to the future:
