Police hunt would-be robber and two others
Police are hunting three men after a shopworker was threatened at knifepoint in Braddan this week.
The incident happened at 5.30pm on Monday at The Strang Store on Ballaoates Road in Braddan.
A man went into the shop and threatened an employee with a knife – but fled empty-handed after she refused to cooperate.
Officers say they suspect two other men in the area were involved.
Police say the trio made off on foot through Strang Close, into the Ballanawin Estate towards Cronk Grianagh.
The man with the knife is described as being in his teens to early 20’s, of average height and slim build, wearing dark clothing with his hood up.
The other two men are said to be dressed in similar clothing.
Uniformed officers will be in the area tonight conducting enquiries - police are asking people to keep their eyes peeled for any discarded knives.
