Manx Gaelic artists compete to play festival

Winner travels to Ireland in April to represent IoM

Local musicians go head to head this weekend for a chance to represent the Isle of Man at a major Celtic music festival.

Arrane Son Mannin is a competition in which local musicians perform their own songs written in Manx Gaelic to a panel of judges.

The winner will travel to Carlow, Ireland in April this year to represent the Island with their song at the Pan Celtic Festival.

Free to the public, the event starts from 7:30pm at the Masonic Hall in Peel this Saturday (Jan 7).
