Minister discloses gay pardon timeline

Legislation could be in place by this time next year

Consulting with the public on gay pardon law is high priority - that's according to the Home Affairs Minister, who committed to a debate on the subject yesterday (20 October).

It's been announced the UK will roll out the 'Alan Turing Law' after the plight of the first man to be pardoned was made public in the film; The Imitation Game.  

Home Affairs Minister Bill Malarkey says he supports the move here, which was championed by his predecessor.

It'll materialise within the Sexual Offences Bill - ready for people to decide whether or not gay men prosecuted before the change in 1992 should be vindicated by law.
