Wants to provide more scrutiny
Kate Lord-Brennan has recently resigned from her position within the Department of Infrastructure, Manx Radio can confirm.
She was member with responsibility for the Highway Services Division.
It's understood she has done so because she felt it was getting in the way of her carrying out her main role as an MLC - scrutinising legislation.
Mrs Lord-Brennan is the second member of the Legislative Council to give up a departmental role for this reason, after Tanya August-Hanson stepped away from her one in the Department of Home Affairs at the end of May.
