MU announces 2018/19 prices

Changes come into effect on 1 April

Manx Utilities' water and sewerage prices have been frozen for the coming financial year whilst electricity tariffs will rise.

Electricity unit charges for domestic and commercial users have risen within the two per cent limit with standing charges remaining unchanged at 19.5 pence per day.

Industrial users will see an increase below the two per cent limit.

Water and sewerage rates remain at 341.8 pence in the pound and 98 pence in the pound respectively - as agreed by Tynwald in October 2017.

The changes come into effect from 1 April.

MU has also begun a pricing strategy review with the findings to be revealed in October Tynwald.
