People being urged to lock doors and vehicles
Police say 'opportunistic thieves' are currently operating on the Island.
Officers are urging people to remember to lock their doors and cars - and bikes and tents - over the TT period.
The Isle of Man Constabulary has seen a rise in incidents of vehicles being taken without consent.
Inspector Paul Kemp told Manx Radio: "This isn't because we've got a load of visiting people that have come over and have caused us a load of trouble - this is something we've been facing for the last month or so.
"We're getting on top of it, but still, it's worthy of the message going out there."
He confirmed a number of arrests have been made in recent weeks but added someone was seen 'rifling through' a car in Ramsey as recently as last night (28 May).
