PAC 'right to be cautious' over publishing Medical Director's evidence

Transcript published almost three months after hearing

A Tynwald committee was 'right to be cautious' by keeping the Medical Director's evidence private while an employment tribunal was ongoing.

That's according to the then-chairman of the Public Accounts Committee.

Dr Rosalind Ranson spoke to the panel in May, but the transcript of the session was only published last night, criticising elements of government's response to the start of the coronavirus outbreak.

Juan Watterson says it was important not to interfere with other proceedings:

Mr Watterson is standing for the constituency of Rushen in the Isle of Man General Election on Thursday, 23 September.

The other candidates standing for the area are Dr Michelle Haywood, Mark Kemp and Andrew Langan-Newton.
