Governance around Covid-19 mitigation strategy

Parents on the Isle of Man will have to collect lateral flow tests for their children to stop 'peer pressure'.

The education minister has confirmed there is 'governance' around the pilot scheme which has been rolled out as part of a mitigation strategy.

Students, and staff, can take up to two tests per week – anyone who receives a positive result is subject to further PCR testing along with their family.

This week it was confirmed a St Ninian's student had tested positive for Covid-19 after returning a lateral flow test.
