Port Soderick Glen to be repaired

Damage caused by other works

Areas of Port Soderick Glen damaged during recent work will be fixed as soon as possible, says the government.

The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture is reportedly working with Wildflowers of Man to fully restore the area.

A statement issued says work to repair the glen was carried out, mostly on its paths and riverbanks.

But machinery used to make the area more accessible for those with mobility issues resulted in damage to the riverbank.

Chief Minister Howard Quayle, says: "Immediate action is underway to reinstate the area and DEFA will work closely with partners to resolve this as a matter of urgency."
