The public has a chance to give it's feedback on plans for a new Tesco Express store in Douglas town centre today (Thursday, April 23rd).
The supermarket chain wants to open the new shop in the former MEA unit at the Strand Shopping Centre.
Tesco announced last week it wanted to bring an Express store to the Island.
The company claims it could create up to 20 jobs and bring more business to the far end of Douglas's main shopping street
The supermarket's corporate affairs manage,r Mark Thomas, thinks there's a lot of potential for the location which has been empty since 2012
The Strand Centre's manager, Brian Eaton, is also hopeful about the future of the store, which could be open in September if all goes to plan.
