Roadworks cost outlined

More than £700,000 was spent on roadworks in the Isle of Man in the last financial year.

The figure has been released following a Freedom of Information request.

Department of Infrastructure officials have revealed maintenance repairs - including the filling of potholes - cost almost £572,000 in 2016/17.

Relaying roads added almost £147,000 to that figure during that period.

In the current financial year, a further £112,000 has been spent so far on relaying roads.
